I know that so many of you are animal lovers (I know this because many of your dogs have been flower dogs and ring bearers!), and what better way to personalize your wedding day than to include our fuzzy friends who are less fortunate to the celebration! Not in person; most wedding reception venues frown on that…. but there are many ways you can share your joy, and many are found on the Animal Rescue Site.

Every once in a while, I come across something too amazing, too inspirational to keep to myself, wedding wise or not. This is one of those things. JK Rawlings, the wildly successful author of the Harry Potter series, gave the commencement speech at Harvard this year. It was an incredible speech, delivered with humor and humility. She addressed the value of failure and gift of imagination. I highly, highly recommend that you gift yourself with 20 minutes or so, and view the video.
