Send in the backups!

Friday, February 9th, 2007

If you’re like me, a little bit technically challenged, you may never have backed up ANYTHING on your computer. It’s too hard, who can figure it out….I hear your pain. But if you lose your guest list, your vows, your list of wonderful vendors (including your New Jersey Wedding Officiant….smooth, ain’t i…….) you’ll be crushed.

A great solution is an off site storage place like www.carbonite.com. This is a program that takes literally minutes to load, runs quietly in the background, and backs up your computer to a safe haven that you can access at any time. Did you lose your menu? You can find it. Did you lose your guest list? No problem.

You can get a free trial of this thing, and if you use the promo code BZZ (thank you, Buzzagent) you can get three months to see if you like it. As the spokesperson for the technically challenged, I highly recommend it. I’d love to hear how you like it.

Tuesday, February 6th, 2007

You want to be your fittest and healthiest for your wedding; the weeks that lead up to it are filld with stress (both good and bad); you’ll be hosting a party for loads of your most important friends and family, and you want to feel your best. There are several websites that can help you along with that!

www.dailyplate.com

www.traineo.com

www.fitday.com

All of them have different personalities, and one will hit you as most useful in helping you walk down the aisle with a spring in your step!

Martini anyone?

Friday, February 2nd, 2007

A normal old salad course takes on new style when it’s served in a martini glass. Ask your caterer or restaurant to park those greens in that glass, top with a grape tomato and an olive, and be prepared to hear how innovative and cool you are.

We love ANYTHING served in a martini glass, with or without vodka; mashed potatoes, french fries, tortellini alfredo or even spicy popcorn. Lots of style; no more dollars! How great is that~!
