Your invitations will set the tone of your wedding celebration, and what better message to send than that of giving. If you go to www.idofoundation.org, and order your invitations from Carlton Craft a percentage of the sale price will go to the charity of your choice. They have some real beauties, and how cool is it that you can give back too!

And who doesn’t want to be looking good, not just on your wedding day, but every day. I’m BZZing a great bunch of products from Aveeno called “Active Naturals”. We’ve all been hearing loads and loads about green weddings, and while we might not want a green face, what could be bad in a product made with wheat and shitake mushrooms? It’s got a SPF of 30, it smells really good, and it doesn’t cost a fortune. Definately check it out!

Who has more fun than me, your New Jersey Wedding Officiant (ha ha ha!!!! take that search engines!!!) No one, except maybe Stephanie Baily, the directress and orchestrator of banquets and celebrations at the Basking Ridge Country Club. (We were about to have a “Rock-Paper-Scissor” moment over this, but we decided that we could split “best job on the planet” dibs for now.)

If you’re looking for a sweet, intimate, comfortable setting for your wedding ceremony and reception, you have to come and visit the Basking Ridge Country Club. The grounds are amazing, the clubhouse is personal and friendly, and their staff couldn’t be nicer or more professional. It’s just a winning combination; it is almost like having a wedding at home and not having to mop the kitchen afterwards.

There are gracious touches throughout; beautiful floral displays on their buffet stations, a lovely Champagne and Kir Royale bar to start, and gorgeous views of the golf course from the reception area windows. Stephanie and her staff are everywhere at once; guiding guests and seeing to the details that make each event seemingly effortless.

yep, the new website, www.celiamilton.com is live, and it’s a beauty; this has NOTHING to do with me, and EVERYTHING to do with my fantastic webbies, Chris and Jody at 20-20 solutions. They were patient when necessary, nudgey when necessary and just fantastic at all times. I’d love your feedback as I move forward into a “GULP” new phase of celebrant practice.

If you’re looking for a stylish, intimate site for your wedding, you will absolutely want to check out the Courtyard on Main, in historic downtown Freehold. Owner and Chef Anthony Pane has created a beautiful setting for groups of guests as cozy as 40 or as large at 175. There is a lovely cobblestone courtyard that would be a lovely backdrop for your cocktail hour or your ceremony (which would, of course, include your New Jersey wedding officiant….smooth, eh?). Their Manhattan room is surrounded by French doors facing their open air tables, and all their rooms have distinct personalities. Anthony’s staff is professional and friendly, and the food is amazing.

Well, for starters, Tricia does~! And the earrings, pendants and delicate necklaces that may just be the artisan touch you’re wanting for your wedding. Her beautifully organic jewelry is evocative, sensual and just plain gorgeous, and you’ll want to check it all out at her website, http://www.tricialachowiec.com. And while you’re there, send your best wishes for her into the universe; she is marrying her sculptor fiance, Derek, this summer!

Of course you’re not the typical couple in any way, so why should your cake topper be a typical cake topper? This little light of mine

Many of my brides want to use candles to enhance their ceremonies or receptions, but many sites will not allow open flames. A stellar solution is are the new “flameless” candles. My favorite, for the ceremony (to line a walkway at dusk? perfect!) is the Glade Wisp candle. It is a little bigger than a votive, has a flickering “flame”, and comes in a frosted holder. As a bonus, it also spritzes a fragrance every few seconds, so your walk up the aisle will be sweet in many ways! I discovered these babies through www.bzzagent.com, a cool “word of mouth” site, but you can discover them in your own neighborhood.
