What a wild, wild weekend! Saturday night, I had the pleasure of officiating at Perona Farms, in Andover NJ. (This is a beautiful, historic landmark site nestled in the beautiful countryside of Sussex county Nj)
The forecast was bleak; afternoon thunderstorms, with golf ball size hail, lightening and high winds. When I arrived, I was relieved to see “Plan B” set up in one of their gracious ballrooms! Ever the optimist, however, I set up outside in their tulle draped gazebo and prayed for the best!

As if by magic, the clouds broke, the sun came out, and we had the most gorgeous French blue sky for Corinne and Paul’s New Jersey Wedding Ceremony (smooth, eh?). Their flower girl pulled a wagon loaded with tuxedo clad babies, and everyone looked at the skies and just marveled at our good luck.

Cocktail hour, including Perona Farms’ famous smoked salmon, took place in their gracious outdoor garden, and as the last guest moved inside to the reception, the skies opened with a vengence! Hail, as predicted, torrential rain, dramatic lightening and that cool big thunder. But as I zoomed down 287 south home, a double rainbow appeared over the horizon!

What an amazing omen! Not that I wish any of my couples rain, but I do with them rainbows!
